Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply for all deliveries made from By Stokkebye’s webshop.

Privacy

By Stokkebye respects the privacy of our customers. No information you enter on our website will be shared with outside companies or mailing lists unless you agree to it.

Payment

In By Stokkebye’s web shop, it is possible to pay with VISA, MasterCard and American Express. All prices appearing in our web shop are included Danish VAT (25%), but exclusive postage and freight.

The process of shopping

When shopping in our webshop, you will be asked to type your name, billing- and shipping address, phone number and your email. Furthermore, you will be asked to accept By Stokkebye’s terms and conditions. Just afterwards you have made your payment, you will receive a confirmation of the order by email.

You will never be charged for more than you have reserved, but always less, if for instant a certain product is sold out, we will deduct the full amount.

Please take typing errors, sold out goods, as well as prices-, taxes- and currency changes, into account.

Delivery and transportation

Your order will be dispatched by courier to ensure fast and safe delivery, if no other agreement has been made between By Stokkebye and you, the buyer. It is possible to arrange pickup of the goods at our office in Kerteminde, within opening hours.

Goods from By Stokkebye are considered delivered when you, the customer, has received the goods. All caviar, truffles and vanilla are well-packed in thermos-boxes, so they will arrive safely, and at the right temperature to your home. Our caviar and truffles is packed with cooling elements in the packaging and this ensures an appropriate temperature until delivery to your home. Always ensure that someone is available to collect the caviar and truffles when delivered and to place it in the refrigerator as soon as possible. We cannot take responsibility if perishable items spoil because they were left at on a doorstep. To savor the divine and super-fresh taste of caviar and truffles as it is meant to be, always make proper preparations in advance.

Our products are normally in stock and are delivered to your home by courier within 2-5 working days. In the weeks before Christmas and New Year, longer delivery time can occur. If you do not receive your goods within the stated time, please contact the courier company with your tracking number or contact us as soon as possible.

Shipping fees

For shipping in Denmark, the shipping fee is 59 DKK.

We offer free delivery on orders over 600 DKK, but only for shipping in Denmark.

For shipping to Europe, but outside Denmark, there are individual shipping fees.

Storage of caviar

Caviar should be stored in the coldest part of your refrigerator, usually the bottom shelf.

Please see the reverse of each tin for the “Best Before” date.

Once a tin has been opened, we recommend the caviar to be consumed within 48 hours.

Security

By Stokkebye is using a payment solution delivered by Stripe. All transaction information passed between By Stokkebye and Stripe’s systems is encrypted using 256-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted. You can be completely assured that nothing we pass to Stripe’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information. This means that you, the buyer, is at least as safe as when you use your debit card in ordinary shops. For example, you have no deductibles for misuse and you can reject an incorrect payment.

Complaints

All goods are controlled for errors before they are packed and shipped. If you receive an item that does not live up to your expectations, we would appreciate to hear from you, so we can fix the error. We aim to ensure that all complaints are handled expeditiously.

You will need to advertise us of your complaints as soon as possible – within 24 hours of receiving your goods. We will aim to get you an equivalent to the ordered goods. There will be situations where we will ask you to send us the defective product. In this case, we will credit you for your expenses in this regard.

Return Policy

By Stokkebye does not provide returns on the caviar, truffles and vanilla, as these are food products which are not governed by the general rules of withdrawal. If you would like to cancel your order of wine, you must do so within 14 days after receiving the goods. Please send the goods to:

You will, personally, be held responsible for returning goods and the costs associated with this return. For you to cancel the purchase, the product must be returned in the same condition as when received. Please remember to pack the product securely, as we do not do refunds on dented boxes etc. When we have checked the condition of the goods, we will contact you to hear how we can return your money.

We kindly ask that you state the reason for the return in writing.

Your safety

When you order from By Stokkebye, you must provide your name, address, telephone number and email address. This is to keep you informed about your order and to deliver the goods to you. All the information we receive is treated confidentially and in accordance with the Danish Privacy Act. This information is stored for five years, as law requires audit. The information will not be sold, transmitted or otherwise transferred to third parties. As registered, you always have the right to and the opportunity for insight and you can oppose on a registration. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
